Scott P. Raymond
Manager, Processing Operations – Postal Headquarters, Washington DC
Scott Raymond was appointed Manager, Processing Operations, in March 2017, at Postal Headquarters, Washington DC. Scott manages the design, development, and implementation of national distribution and processing programs for all processing plants. Additionally, he is responsible for major facility activation programs and the implementation of national policies, programs, and procedures to reduce operating costs and improve efficiencies within the constraints of service polices and goals.
Previously, Scott served as the District Manager of the Atlanta District and was responsible for the daily retail, delivery, and mail processing activities of more than 12,000 employees working among 419 Post Offices and 4 major distribution centers. He was responsible for an annual operating budget of over $1 billion and his facilities provided service to the Atlanta Metro Area encompassing over 19,000 square miles and 3.3 million customers.
Scott served as the Metro Plant Manager of the Atlanta District, Atlanta, GA and the Senior Plant Manager of the Mid-Carolinas District, Charlotte, NC. During both of his executive Plant Manager assignments, he was responsible for the transportation, maintenance, and mail processing activities among multiple processing and distribution centers.
Prior to his executive appointments, Scott served as Plant Manager, Suburban P&DC in Gaithersburg, MD. Since beginning in 1993 as a mail processor at the Dulles P&DC in Sterling, VA, Scott quickly ascended the ranks by accepting various positions of increasing responsibility in both mail processing and customer service including Senior Manager, Distribution Operations at the Northern Virginia P&DC and Officer-In-Charge at the Vienna Main Post Office, Oakton Branch, and Dunn Loring Station in Virginia.
Scott has received six Area Vice President Awards for Superior Achievements and operations under his leadership have attained national recognition for outstanding service performance during his tenure.
A 5-year United States Navy veteran, Scott served during Desert Storm where he received the National Defense Medal. Scott studied Business Management at Northern Virginia Community College, is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program, Executive Foundations I & II, Advanced Leadership Program, Processing and Distribution Management Program, and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Executive Green Belt.
